Rev. Jeffrey T. Stevenson M.Div
Senior Pastor, Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church

Rev. Jeffrey T. Stevenson is a devoted husband to Dr. Mary Stevenson and a proud father to Isaac and Kobe. His life and ministry are rooted in faith, family, and a deep commitment to helping people grow in every area of life.
He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Huntersville, North Carolina, where he leads with a passion for preaching a relevant Gospel, building authentic community, and guiding people from faith to fruitfulness, spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
A native of Little River, South Carolina, Pastor Stevenson brings a heart for God’s people, a love for biblical teaching, and a vision for transformative ministry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Hood Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree, further deepening his commitment to effective, transformative ministry.
Before being called to Chapel Hill, he served at St. Paul Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he helped establish and lead the Young Adult Ministry and co-chaired the CAYA (Come As You Are) worship experience, creating space for relevant, real, and relational encounters with God. His ministry is marked by mentoring emerging leaders, cultivating discipleship, and engaging the community in meaningful ways.
In addition to his pastoral work, Pastor Stevenson is a seasoned financial professional and currently serves as a Senior Financial Counselor. He is passionate about equipping individuals and families with practical tools for financial wellness, stewardship, and long-term stability.
He also serves as Treasurer for the Union Missionary Baptist Association, further demonstrating his commitment to faithful stewardship, organizational leadership, and the strengthening of churches across the association.
His commitment to both ministry and excellence has been recognized with honors, including the Rev. Dr. William M. White Pastoral Theology Award, the Deacons Family Ministry Scholarship, and the Gregory Keith Moss Sr. Scholarship.
A guiding scripture for his life and ministry is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
